Photography and Camera Lessons in Northern Delaware
| Two Hour Lesson | How to Use Your Camera | Tips and Tricks |
Do you have a new camera? Perhaps a new dSLR with a lens or two and feeling intimidated by it?
Or perhaps you have a point and click – maybe even an older one – and want to know if you need to upgrade? Perhaps your primary camera is on your phone and you’d like to know how to use it to take nice pictures.
Contrary to popular belief, it does not necessarily take an expensive, upper-end camera with a lens costing several hundred dollars to take a nice photograph. Any camera will do. This photo of my son at Christmas was taken with a 3MP (mega pixel) camera on a cell phone. It was good enough to print out for Christmas cards.
What I Offer
Two Hour Class. I will come to you, or we will meet at a mutually agreeable location.
How to Use Your Camera. I will show you how to use your camera, be it a point and shoot, SLR/dSLR, or cell phone. Bring your manual (if you have it). Though all cameras have different knobs, buttons, and touch screens, all cameras perform the same function in the same way: storing an image transferred via light using a combination of ISO, aperture, and shutter speed. I will show you how to manipulate these settings on your camera.
Tips, Tricks, and Techniques. I will instruct you how to take good photos you will be proud of. We will go over framing, lines, natural light, and manipulating your cameras settings.
My goal is not to make you a professional photographer; rather, my goal is to help you take photos that you will be happy to show your friends and family for posterity with the tools you have at your disposal, today.
